Where Your Support Goes: Saving Overlooked Species

When we started Joe’s Jungle, we knew we wanted every single contribution to create real, measurable impact on the ground. We also knew that earning your trust meant doing the legwork before asking for yours.

Before committing a single dollar, we went to great lengths to thoroughly vet potential partners. We wanted to make sure our resources—and your generosity—were going to organizations with proven track records, deep local roots, and unwavering transparency.

Because we are just getting started, our exact percentage splits and funding totals will naturally shift and evolve as our community grows. But as our journey begins, we are thrilled to focus our support on two exceptional organizations doing vital work on the frontlines of conservation.

1. Fundación Omacha (Protecting Our Inaugural Species)

Our very first spotlight species is the iconic Amazon River dolphin (also known as the boto). To support these remarkable pink freshwater dolphins, we’ve partnered with Fundación Omacha, an organization with over 30 years of experience in the Amazon and Orinoco basins. Omacha works directly with local and Indigenous communities to study dolphin health, monitor water ecosystems, and protect critical aquatic habitats from pollution and habitat destruction.

2. Rainforest Trust (Broad Habitat & Ecosystem Protection)

Protecting an individual species means nothing if they don't have a safe home. That’s where Rainforest Trust comes in. For decades, they have worked alongside local partners and Indigenous communities to purchase and permanently protect millions of acres of threatened tropical rainforests and critical habitats across the globe. By supporting Rainforest Trust, our funds help safeguard entire ecosystems—protecting thousands of plant and animal species under one canopy.

What’s Next?

We are right at the starting line, and this is just chapter one. As funds flow in and projects take shape, we’ll be using our Funded Projects section to give you clear, real-time updates on exactly what your support is accomplishing in the wild.
